Debra Smoot is a certified Le Cordon Bleu chef with a passion for fresh, wholesome food. Whether she’s preparing meals for a health-conscious family or serving a full banquet, her cooking brings people together.
From clean eating to comforting soul food, every dish is crafted with care, heritage, and just the right amount of bold flavor.
Debra A. Smoot is more than a chef—she’s a survivor, creator, and flavor genius. Born in Gary, Indiana, and raised on a 15-acre blackberry farm in Niles, Michigan, her love for food was cultivated early by her adoptive parents. Her mother taught her to cook, and her father showed her how to grow, harvest, and hustle.
She’s walked many paths—track star, bodybuilder, model, and cyclist—but her biggest win came after a fight with breast cancer. Diagnosed in her 50s, Debra beat stage one cancer with strength, faith, and flavor.
Today, she's 5 years cancer-free and still creating magic from her kitchen.
Certified by Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, her signature barbecue sauce, Smokey Glazed – Fingers Off My Ribs, is infused with bold berries and even bolder love.
